I've always heard Harrison County coach was doing a good job with what they had up there. I haven't seen any product, but is the talent pool maybe low there right now? He's a hometown guy and was coached by hall of famer Ray Graham, also played a Georgetown. still young, I figure he'll get things going for them up there. Tough district to play in.

Berea just hired their coach (after canceling football during the summer) so I feel like he is safe.

Frankfort is in a similar spot as Berea.

Mercer, Mad South, East Jess have had very disappointing seasons. Throw in Casey and Russell County as well to the conversation in CKY.

I feel like Dunbar showed improvement and won a few games.

Madison Southern is not letting go of Kirk. They had a disappointing season because of the mess the ADMIN created (it was handled horribly) when Mark Payne stepped down with the hire of the TN coach that no one wanted (he was 3rd choice by everyone but the ADMIN) (Multiple players left- Estill, Rock and Garrard all benefited), (a lot of players quit etc). Then dude leaves them in June.....The season 100% is on the admin.

I have heard this for a while now. Didn't realize who Coach Kirk was at first, but you're right. They'll be extremely improved next season I would imagine!

Coach Kirk really saved their butts if we are being real. Tim is a great man, and a great coach... I just don't know how much he can do at MS, they don't exactly scream support for athletics especially football.

I know Russell County didn't have the season they expected but do you see them letting him go? I know he isn't untouchable but I feel like he has a longer leash than some.

I’ve always thought Harrison was a decent place. Hopefully he can turn it around here soon. That district is indeed brutal for them.

I have heard their admin is a pain to work with. That used to be a solid program.

East Jessamine has admin issues as well. The culture down there changed after the new admin was hired some years back.

Depends on if Southwestern's current coach were to reach out I'd think..

He's 9-13 and has had a disappointing second half of the season, but he needs another season or two.  They won 1 game the season before he took over.  Needs a chance.

I think a big issue he may run into is, this senior class was supposed to be THE class to get them on a higher level, right?

I had not considered that!

People in the know could clarify this more, but I do believe they endured some key injuries as well.  At most high schools, that impacts the W/L greatly.  The next man up isn't always the answer to winning ball games.
