I'm not as high on Pikeville. They'll be right in the hunt, I just think Camp'ville and KCD have played a little better thus far.

I’ve seen Pikeville in person & they’ll be in the thick of it, however I understand people who believe they shouldn’t be as ranked as high as they are.  They’ve had 3 lopsided losses; albeit to good teams, one win over a winless team & one win where they played awful for almost 3 quarters before making a miraculous comeback.  It’s not exactly the resume you’d expect from a #1 ranked team

KCD is the real deal. Basically all seniors and run the option extremely well.

I think you are sleeping a little on KCD and Campbellsville. Both returned big portions of their rosters from last year. I think there is more parity amongst the top 3/4 teams than in years past. But it is still early and a lot can, and probably will change by November.

At this point, I agree. There are a couple other good teams at a higher caliber but I don’t think they are at the level of Pikeville and Raceland.

I think Raceland is the number one team in class A the players never made any excuses they said we should have played 48 minutes Raceland had down 27 - 0 late in the third quarter and then they went flat! and lost to Pikeville. I think they will meet again later in the playoffs and it will be Raceland walking away with the win!

I think 1A is pretty wide open, much like last season.  Raceland, Pikeville, KCD, and Campbellsville seem to be just a notch above the rest.  But none of those teams have the look of one of the vintage Pikeville, Beechwood, or Mayfield teams.  Those teams would have been a threat (most seasons, obviously not this one with CAL), to win 1A-3A.  After seeing what Belfry did to Pikeville, I don't think any of these teams could even make the semi-finals in 2A.  I think that could lead to some unpredictable playoffs.
