This might need to be its own topic. But, could there be some sort of system where teams can mutually agree not to play a district game? No one gets anything out of this. Pre-season HC could say so, Highlands could put someone else on schedule… and everyone is better off.

I’m sure logistically it’s impossible. But the Birds JV would clock Harrison’s Varsity.

Let less competitive teams build a schedule and still compete for 2nd/3rd/4th place. (Thinking of Beechwood’s district here. In this district 1-2 are clearly CCH/Highlands)

This game is a prime example of so many others every week (district play), every class, every year as to why Kentucky needs to adopt the O-H-I-O method and do away with districts.

Bill McKee would turn over in his grade to know the program he started could get this little respect in 2025.  Keep fighting Breds…better days ahead.

Great interview. I don't often listen to KSR unless it is football season.

I couldn't help but notice how many times they said Willie Rodriguez play for the Birds.

And never mention the 4th all time leading tackler in the SEC, Jeff Kremer.

Saw they mentioned Tayden throwing a left handed pass in a game. Last year I said I had seen him throwing passes with both hands and I think many thought it was a Chuck Norris joke. The kid is theee real deal Holyfield.

This is based on the end of the game against Ryle who will be the starting quarterback? Rio has his moments where he looks unbeatable and at times looks like he’s never played the position. If there is a quarterback change Rio needs to be on the field in some capacity. I think he would be a good slot receiver.

Do we have a QB controversy??  First, I am hearing about this.

"He looks unbeatable"?  Can you share some more on this?

Litmer will get most if not all the snaps this week imo.  No reason for Tayden to be overly involved or many of the “regulars” for that matter.  Big games remain against CovCath, Elder and Scott Co, games which need to have all hands on deck.  Be a good week to work on the pass game and get some younger guys some quality minutes at the varsity level.

Campbell Co game for one example.

Down the alley the sky was blue. Down the alley is where the Bluebirds flew. A "neighhhhh" was heard. A thorobred was hit by a flying bird.

Stay focused and come out of this game healthy!

Who starts at QB? Lorenzen or Litmer?

Litmer no doubt. No need to put extra wear and tear on Lorenzen or unnecessary game film out.

Does Lorenzen start the CCH game? They looked like an entirely different team when he took over in the second half.

Against Harrison Co. I think it would be more likely that Bryce Armstrong would start than Tayden. Not saying it would be that way in a potentially more competitive game, but if, for some reason, Rio couldn't go this week, I think you'd see Armstrong at QB. JMO.

I don't know if Litmer ever loses the starting job but Lorenzen's load at QB definitely gets heavier as games get more important.
