Great effort by NCC, some nice big plays.  NCC's Bivens ends up with 3 TDs and almost 200 yards rushing. 

Raceland's Landon Stiltner had 210 yards and 5 TDs on the night.  

Good luck to NCC for the rest of their season. 

Stiltner had a great game as the Rams rolled up over 500 yards. And New Cath made some big plays as well, Rams take a week off to recover and get ready to face Hazard in what could be a tough game.

Make no mistake Raceland was firmly in control of this game. I do feel NewCath gave a huge chunk of momentum away when it was 41-21 with about a minute to go in the 3rd quarter. 1st and 10 and NCC had driven down to the 25. Short run, incomplete pass, QB slips and falls down and finally interception. Obviously credit to Raceland to bend but not break. But a big difference if NCC closes that drive out with a TD to bring it to 41-28 for the start of the 4th quarter. But obviously INT is the result and Raceland goes the other way with the ball and goes up 48-21  instead.

They are playing a tough schedule. I think they will win their district. Then probably lose in playoffs round 3 like last year.

  There may be a lot of disappointed NCC fans right now.  But the season isn't over.  The Breds took a 3 hour drive down to #2 team in the state 1A Raceland and actually played them tooth and nail for 3 Quarters!  But until they change that defense and bring their linebackers up into the game and run some stunts,  IMO I really don’t think  they can beat a good team.  They have only won one big game in that Defense in 3 years.  No disrespect to the coaching staff these guys are great and do a good job!  But I think it’s time for a change!  Good luck!

Raceland never punted.  I think the Rams went for it once on 4th down and got it. 

For as much as Raceland scored last night it was still 21-14 right before halftime. It was a positive to see the Breds finally play with anger, some controlled and some not, but it was an attitude that hasn’t been seen until last night. I still can’t believe the amount of stupid penalties but if we can play with that attitude and knock of the dumb stuff it is a positive going into districts. And I’ll say it one more time, the fans sitting around the field makes Raceland a one of a kind place to play. 

After rewatching the first half I can see why NewCath got at least 3 of their first 15 yard penalties. The extra curriculars Raceland got away with in the pile is uncalled for and should be embarrassing for Ram fans. You can see on film NCC head coach letting the white hat what’s going on. If it’s not taught it certainly isn’t discouraged and for the officials covering this game there is no way they don’t see a lot of it, and if they didn’t they need to move on bc there should be eyes on everything.

 

We still would’ve lost.

I am intrigued. Care to elaborate for those of us that were not in attendance.

Grabbing in the pile, I don’t know words you can put on here. The online broadcast was very well done with great picture, don’t have access to hudl.
