I believe due to the agreement Scott County has with NFHS, the only streaming for this game will be on NFHS:

I do think Sporting Times will have an "Audio-Only" version:

I also think D93 out of BG will have a radio version as well:

  • According to the Kentucky High School Football Media Poll (article link below), these are the top 2 teams in 5A with Scott County being ranked #1 and BG #2. Kentucky high school football rankings

Easier said than done. If they stop the fullback then emongo gets the ball on a sweep, if you can stop that but your corner bites down too early, after a couple times seeing that on tape they’ll fake the sweep and hit the fade.

What makes Scott county so hard to stop even being one dimensional is that they have 3 or 4 wrinkles to every motion and formation. You truly have no idea what they’re going to run until it’s already halfway through the play.

Theyre more than happy to let the full back run it 8 times in a row if it means by the 3rd quarter you’re collapsing on the full back and leaving outside runs to running backs or tight ends open.

Unless Scott Co has changed what they do and how they align offensively from last season, they're not that hard to figure out.

If you pay attention to details, you can predict what they're gonna do with solid accuracy.

The Offense is more dynamic this season. Hickey was a good QB, he could hit most throws when asked and his fakes were pristine. However, This young buck in Ellison has some legs which creates a whole new problem. Great Scott County QBs have always been able to keep the ball on 3rd and short when everyone is expecting the full-back to smash through the line, and go untouched for a big gain. We have that again with this sophomore.

Our WR on most plays is JuJu Harmon, who has been bullying DBs on the outside giving big lanes on sweeps and power this year, which is different from last year where it was more 50/50.

McKee doesn’t mind an opponent having a general idea of what he could be running on most plays. The moment an opponent starts flying to where they think the ball will be, Scott County has you where they want you.

Billie Ross McKee at Harrison Co., Bill Baldridge at Bellevue, and now Jim McKee (Billie Ross’s nephew) at Scott Co. have been especially proficient at this now you see it….now you don’t offense.  It has been a lot of fun watching these teams spin their web of deceit.

I'm more curious about the BG O vs the SC D... I think the result there will yield the winner.

Can the Purples garner enough offense from the freshmen they play to get a W? What are Scott Co's strengths on that side of the ball?

Scott Co. defensively is led by their line & secondary. The D-line features senior Caleb Florence, strongest frosh in KY last season Lucas Fint, and Anderson Owens who plays both ways. Their LB core is younger, but solid led by Eli Farris who’s a junior, and Gregory brown who’s a senior. The secondary is the biggest strength. P4 offers for Jermaine(JuJu) Harmon, and Timmy emongo highlight the group, but Asher Brewer is no slouch, he lead 5A in INTs last season and already has one to his name so far this year. Keller Furnish has made some great plays so far as well.

Scott County has struggled in big games over the last couple of years, so there's something to prove here for the Cards. The reputation always earns them a top five ranking, but that's been the ceiling since dropping to 5A.

The timing feels right to me for the Cards to win a marquee game. Bowling Green is banged up and the quarterback situation is up in the air. Start a limited senior who's confidence may be shaken or roll with a higher ceiling freshman on the road?

I'll take Scott County in a low scoring nail biter.

The lack of discipline on the past few teams is gone. Losing multiple games because of ejections, and unsportsmanlike penalties in big games was not Scott County football.

Let’s not forget the dilution of talent Scott experienced with losing 50% of their student body when GC was opened.  I would suspect it takes a while to rebuild a program from that blow.

This could be one of the most “not sure what’s going to happen” games for Purples fans in recent history - maybe even not so recent history!

After two games, I believe Purples have more injuries than we do on most ENTIRE seasons. I really think that’s a true statement. Plus, KEY injuries! I hate it for Travy. He had a real shot of breaking all receiving records for BGHS this season. Gets hurt on a hustle play. Two other starting WRs hurt as well. Linebacker, Beau Bryant, out. And, a couple other kids - out. Throw in starting the Frosh at QB for his first varsity start (and, being a road game), things could get interesting.

As crazy as it sounds, get those kids back late in season, and we could still see week 15!

I say Purples break the losing streak but has to do so in the 4th quarter.

Purples have arrived in Georgetown.
We were treated to a Middle School game prior. I liked that.
BG in white jerseys with gold pants and helmets.
Scott County in black pants, red jerseys and helmets.
5 minutes till kickoff.
