Not sure they will go with a QB first round, but I do think they look for one in the first 4-5 rounds. As much to try and upgrade the position in their backups as much as upgrading it with Rex.

And he didn't have a bad year, he had a bad run of games. He was very good in some games. If they think he cannot improve any more, remember with injuries this was his first full season, they look for another.

His passer rating for the playoffs was above Peyton's.

His passer rating for the season was above Brett Farve and Vince Young. Not sure any of us would agree with the Packers and Titans getting rid of those two.

He had 7 games with a QB rating over 100. Two of which were against playoff teams, Seattle and Giants.

Another game at 98.

2 games in the 80's. against Jets (playoff team)

So for 10 of 16 games he was pretty good to excellent. Not sure that translates into a BAD, BAD season.

(Tom Brady's season rating was in the 80's and I am not sure anyone in this thread would bench him.)

Now when he was bad, he was HORRIBLE.

5 games with a QB rating below 34.

Not to mention everyone has the claim that making the Super Bowl is the key to judging a QB's effectiveness. Not sure you can say a QB that leads his team to the Super Bowl had a bad, bad season.

I'm not a Bears fan or a Grossman fan.

But I try to be objective.

He had a Decent year...for a "rookie". I use that word loosely.

Regular season

3000+ yards

5 games with 3 + interceptions.

3 games with 3 + touchdowns

Throws WAY,WAY to many interceptions...but so did Brett Favre.

Grossman actually has a higher QB rating.

I say they draft a low round QB., Griese gets to compete and Grossman gets a new deal next month.

I can't remember which interception it was....I think the second one towards the middle of the field.

The defender was beaten, the reciever was wide open and in stride would have been a touchdown.

It completely looked like the wind pushed the ball down and to the left so the defender had to slow down but was intercepted.

If I'm Grossman's agent, I post the above.

However, if I'm someone looking at a qb and trying to decide if he can make the plays when they're needed, I'm saying "no." Next year will be a huge year for Rex and will likely determine whether he has a future in Chicago. The Bears cannot be comfortable with him and his chances of leading them to a SB win.

Interesting.

Peyton threw more interceptions then TD's in his 1st year.

(8 more then Rex)

Grossmans QB rating is higher then Mannings 1st year.

Grossman was better then Aikmans 1st 3 years.

ONCE AGAIN..i'm not a grossman fan. Just saying that he wasn't the WORST in history which has been said and that he COULD improve.

Grossman played real bad but is WR's didn't help him any either! There are times you throw the ball up trusting your WR's. If they can't catch it then they should knock it down. Even worse after it was caught they didn't give much effort to tackle.

I will gladly take a 1% cut of his contract.:D
