This used to be such a huge regular season game in the AAA district (back when it was 4 classes).  The district was CovCath, NewCath, Newport, Highlands and Lloyd.  Miss those days when NewCath was a

Same here about sitting by me at a game. I feel bad, for instance the McCracken and Mayfield games when there are huge crowds and we may have family/friends sitting with us who otherwise may not go to

  • Outside of it being the alma mater, Ryle and at Elder is such a physical start to the season that I’m sure Eddie’s main goal is just to make sure the team is healthy and ready to roll.  Also kind

Jake Leady recovers Colonels fumble. Breds start drive at their 48, 2:22 to play, CCH up 66-0.

Probably not the smartest idea to schedule this. I hope NCC came out healthy.

@Colonels_Wear_Blue, you not only give great updates year after year, but also very timely and fast updates. What's your secret formula for doing so? I feel like I miss too much sometimes as I'm typing the last and watching the next play simultaneously.

Appreciate you!

@TilghmanPride CWB is pretty much super human.  We have established that over the years and it isn't just updates.  CWB does a lot of work behind the scenes at BGP and he is just as amazing.

Ouch. CovCath is a strong title contender in 4A. I wonder if NewCath will contend in 1A. Ryle and CovCath will be a war Friday night. Good luck to the Breds this year!

I think Ryle/CCH is one of the top games in the state Friday night.

Agreed Ru. The game could go either way and should be a packed house in Ft. Wright.

I should have said packed house in Park Hills - LOL. I hope that the PH mafia doesn't come after me.

And he does all that while remodeling a bathroom!

He's starting to rival the guy in the Dos Equis commercials. He's the world's most interesting man!

I love it!

I dunno how interesting most people find me, to be honest, but I think I'm pretty cool, at least ?

And to answer your question from last night...I don't really have much of a secret for my live updates, but there's definitely something to be said for having lots of practice. I've been a BGP member for 16 years, and I started giving live updates from the games probably 13 or 14 years ago. Believe it or not I'm faster giving updates at the game from my phone than I am watching a livestream and typing in updates on my laptop.

I'm not really a very interesting person to sit with at games because I'm sitting and typing in updates, lol....so don't really talk much to anyone during the game unless there's a timeout or during time stoppage after scoring or for quarters/halftime. Knowing the names/numbers of Cov Cath's starters definitely helps with updates, and I try to look over the other team's roster a couple-few times to ideally have a decent idea of names/numbers for their guys, but if you read back through update threads you'll definitely be able to tell how less familiar I am with the opposing team names.

It's a kitchen remodel, haha, not bathroom. I just got the new sink in and I'm finishing up connecting the faucet as we speak. Went with a 16 gauge stainless workstation sink...it weighs a ton, but it's as solid as they come, and I love the drain-board, colander and cutting board that nest right into the sink. That's a Moen faucet, which I think are the best out there when it comes to maintenance, and then I splurged and got a Delta glass rinser for the sink too...I'm already really happy I decided on that.
