India and Pakistan

Featured Replies

Pakistan vows to retaliate for the attacks in their country. In recent weeks they have even mentioned that a nuclear response to any Indian aggression was possible.

India's statement below states this was not an attack on Pakistan but an attack on terrorist operating in Pakistan.

With two nuclear powers eye to eye like this, it's worth watching these developments.

The world as a whole is very volatile when you look at these two, Russia vs Ukraine, Israel and tensions with half the Middle East and now the tensions between China and the US.

They cannot coexist, a lot of it has to do with personal beliefs.

Hopefully it doesn't lead to all-out war.  Even a limited nuclear exchange could lead to a "nuclear winter" scenario that would hurt global agricultural yields and produce a starvation-level event for much of the developing world.

I have been disconnected from the real world the last few days, but this does not sound good at all. We are seeing numerous conflicts come up, and some of the players involved could cause major world wide problems.

After days of drone, artillery and air attacks, a cease fire was brokered last night and is in place.

I hope it holds and although these two countries worry me it never did feel like it was going to blow up.

There have been more than 20 wars and conflicts between these two. They seem to know very well how to fight each other without it getting out of hand.
