If they are international transfers they are not eligible to play this season (unless the rules changed)

Will do.    Steve has forgotten more basketball than you’ll ever know.  I’ve watched him take teams that had low expectations and he turned them into winners.   I’ve watched take team afte

If teams stay the same as they ended last season(which we know they won’t), my top 5 would look a little different. The top teams from last year all have major holes to fill. DCA has no one on that ro

Well looks like the rich just got richer, DCA just got two more kids from overseas, one is over 7'0 and the other is a guard. Both are Sophomores. Good luck to the rest of the 12th region the next 3 years.

Actually, they are a 6-9 sophomore and a 6-3 freshman.  The 6-9 player is solidly built and the 6-3 player is really slim.

All F1 students have to sit out 365 days from when they enroll.  They can play JV and practice with the varsity but that is all.

Cats Pause 12th Region Rankings

Top 5 Teams:

1. DCA

2. West

3. Pulaski

4. Lincoln

5. Wayne

Top 5 Players:

1. Ateny - DCA

2. Phillips - Wayne

3. Craig - Rockcastle

4. Higginbotham - McCreary

5. Hutchinson - Southwestern

Thoughts?

I think Lincoln and Pulaski should be outside the top 5 for now and Wayne up to 3. If Edwards hadn’t got hurt I think Wayne is undisputed 1 with Farmer returning. With what West and DCA return and what they have added are interchangeable 1-2 for now though. Somerset and Southwestern should fill the 4-5 for now. Both return a lot. Like every year Boyle has to be in the conversation,  a lot of talent and athletes but always depends on when and if football kids show up.

IM0:

1. DCA

2. Lincoln

3. Somerset

4. Wayne

5. West

DCA has the talent to repeat, but the zone makes them vulnerable to being beaten by much weaker teams. We saw that in the region tournament last year. But they haven't lost a 12th region regular season game in two years, snd are 38-2 overall. So I'll keep them at #1.

Lincoln has four starters back. They should be in the thick of it. Would not shock me to see them in the regional final.

Somerset has a solid group returning. One of the few teams that has challenged and beaten DCAt over the last few years.

Was not impressed with West at all last year. I think they are the most overrated team in the region.

Wayne had a solid year, especially with all the turmoil in the program after Woods was fired. I felt like the new guy did a good job. Could see them in the thick of it.
