I will tell you this... St. X may not have a bunch of guys with POWER 4 offers but they will have a bunch of guys with Mid Major or FCS offers. 

We have a ton of hope here but we know this is going to be a tough 2 ball games to start the season then we have DC (which on paper should be a W) then we have Catholic. I will say that it will be a tough 4 ball games before district play.

CAL? Saint X? May not have the power 4 offers, but they are wayyyyyy better coached and players are far more disciplined. There is a reason why schools like that repeat success year after year....

Those first two games are really important for O.  They don't have to win them, but they need to compete in them.  If O just scheduled 2 easy games at the beginning of the season, I don't see that helping them if you want to win in November and December.

This is the team Owensboro has been building for some time for.  You don't get many Evan Hamptons - this is his last run!  The time is now O fans!

To me he is absolutely the best but he is getting offers playing LB.  He can put it on the money and is a heck of an athlete.  If O had the line from 2020-2022 they would be worrisome for most teams, but last year a down year on the line.  They’ve added the big physical Muster kid from OCath.  Plenty of playmakers with Dillard and Hampton leading the way.

To me O has been as good as CAL (in the game we played them) - 2 TD’s called back each year.  Those have both been good games.

CAL has 2 kids with P4 offers; one of which has offers from Ohio St., Georgia, etc.  They have another player committed to a G5 program & 2 other kids with G5 offers with 2-3 more kids soon to follow with G5 offers.  Owensboro is talented but to say nobody on their schedule has that kind of talent is incorrect.  Regardless, should be a great game between the two & I'm looking forward to watching my first game at Rash Stadium.

@Unrivaled97  - CAL always has great players - loved the brothers the last 2 years - phenomenal.

That’s where I’m at with it. I do think O has more good years ahead but as far as winning the state championship. This has to be it. Bowling Green is “rebuilding” Highlands is gone South Warren is gone. Cooper will probably be the favorite but O shouldn’t be far behind. Outside of line play this team should be as good or better than Kenyatta Carbons class. Play makers all over the offense and pretty much the same defense as last year.
