  • Coach Odom posted this on Facebook.  It shows you how much work and care the coaching staff puts into the St. Henry football program. Last Saturday was awards night for the inaugural St Henry Foo

  • I ran into a St. Henry coach today, he told me they have 65 players in their middle school program and the majority of them are hard at work in the offseason.

According to Odom St Henry is very  inexperienced  and lacks size.

As an impartial set of eyes, I've seen both in competition this year in 7 on 7 and the linemen challenges.  Overall, I think HC would have the advantage in the skill positions and St. Henry in the trenches.  As of right now, I think it would be a tight advantage to HC if they're healthy on the OL.  But over the season I can see St. Henry having a higher ceiling.  They're still a little rough around the edges in their offensive execution, but I think that will improve with more reps and competition.

I think they will be alot better than last year. Pretty sure there will be a bunch of young ones out there again. Give them another year or 2 and I think they can get to "very good".

I think it'll take a few years to be competitive. Most coaches say to give them 5 years to get their system in place.

Yes for sure. My quote above was referring to HC. Sorry for getting all over the place here.

They certainly have the facilities and fan support to be successful, by all accounts the right coach in place as well. It’s tough to be patient (especially if your child is a senior) but it has to start somewhere. Good luck this year.

They have a new playing field, that's it.

They don’t have a new coach that people seem to like? Stadium is nice, I was there last year. It was  very good crowd for a froshmore game the last week of October.

I think I saw something last year where they re-did their weight room. Which I imagine they pretty much had to with the addition of football.

True but I don't think I have ever heard of any coach at St. Henry being disliked.

Can someone with influence at St. Henry encourage them to post a team roster either on Arbiter/KHSAA and/or their own website?

There is a roster that looks current on Hudl.  There aren't any numbers with the names but it's more than there was a couple months ago.

From experience, Hudl, unfortunately, is not an official source.  I do need the numbers and names for my software for next Friday night.  Thanks, though.
