Burke is the QB of the future so-to-speak, but if he doesn't win the varsity job this year, another year developing won't hurt him.  When it's all said and done, he will have a very good HS career.  Looking forward to offseason workouts starting in just over a week.  You understand why the program has been so successful when you see the offseason program / workouts / days, etc. are already mapped out until the end of the school year, including spring practice dates.

If you want to win on Friday nights, this is what it takes.  No free lunch.

Replacing Hodge and Cotton will be tough, but there is plenty of talent in the program to give it a shot.  Jackson Burke will be a great HS QB and then some, he just needs the reps now.  He's differen

Everyone has an off-season program, and many are very organized and demanding. Many players and coaches from across the state work very hard-ultimately in the end, talent is going to win if you are able to get talent from all over the area and combine that with discipline and good coaching.

Don’t fool yourself.  Many offseason programs are month-to-month with schedules & many don’t know their spring practice dates yet.  Talent doesn’t always win.  The last line of your statement is correct though….discipline & good coaching are key.

Not fooling myself and know what it takes. Have been around and know what I have seen.

Congrats to G.  Good offer for him but probably not committable at this point.  Bright future for him.  Played mostly special teams this year, but did get some snaps on defense.

Garyon Hobbs is also now at Atherton HS.

Dang was not expecting this at all would’ve thought likes of Male, Manual or Ballard. Wonder who else will be at Atherton next year.

Maybe a little surprising but there’s a middle connection with these two & the Atherton staff.

Makes sense. Definitely trying see who else may follow there from any schools. Just hate see guys leave when they have been winning and big contributors at any level of sports.

Was surprising to see two QBs transfer in. Burke is extremely gifted in terms of accuracy, poise, and mastery of playbook/offense. Assuming he wins, which I think he will, he will put up Mike Leach-system numbers. Returning entire OL from down the stretch last year where they excelled will only amplify that. Ton of depth at  the skills.

Correct on the first paragraph & agreed on the second paragraph.
