Replacing Hodge and Cotton will be tough, but there is plenty of talent in the program to give it a shot.  Jackson Burke will be a great HS QB and then some, he just needs the reps now.  He's differen

Don’t think it was a “unhappy with school/program” situation. Wish them both huge success. Do not think Ja’Hyde Brown leaves. Poised to have a huge year statistically and leadership-wise. Was sur

I’ve heard the same thing, but not because he doesn’t like private school & from a very reliable source.  We wish him well.

Where will he be going? Is JaHyde Brown going with him know them 2 are basically like brothers.

Not yet.  Sounds like you would prefer something similar to what Tennessee does, but KY isn't big enough for that.  I'm assuming you would prefer private schools have their own classes due to "unfair advantages", but don't want to unfairly draw that conclusion, which is why I asked to explain it please.

I've heard a few different potential landing spots, but nothing concrete.  I'm not sure on Brown.  I've heard he's staying and I've heard he's going, but again, nothing concrete.

This will be something to watch for sure. A lot of those Louisville Chargers teammates they won championships with play for Trinity and been huge parts to Trinity back to back championships.

Quite familiar with the Louisville Chargers.  One of the main coaches was also the head freshman coach at Central or at least was a few years back.  If Brown does transfer, it’ll be tough to go from a private to a private.

Curious why would it be tough? Just asking because never known of it to happen but a lot of kids especially here around Lexington area are jumping to different public schools each year even to the small county schools after playing a year or 2 of varsity while still living in Lexington. KHSAA been letting it slide heavy the last 4-5 years. Looking fwd to seeing his and Hobbs do next 2 years kids are very special.

Typically, going from private to private in the same area is difficult b/c there really is no hardship, address change, etc. to claim.  You can't necessarily claim financial hardship, which a lot of kids do when going from private to public.  Address change really doesn't work b/c private schools don't have "boundaries" or "resides school" so-to-speak and so on.  I'm not saying it can't happen or that there's not necessarily a good reason for it, just that it's more difficult to do.

Just learned something new. Appreciate that. I've scene it so much living around this area in public school it’s crazy.

I figure they could use religion as an excuse, if they went from private to private.

Gonna be a battle now at QB

Pfeifer from Trinity is really good

Turner from Boyle - I have not seen him but was told he's super talented

And I know from my CAL friends - Chris Burke's son has been thought to be the "future" at QB.

Losing Hobbs will hurt. He's one of the best in that '27 class.

Burke is the QB of the future so-to-speak, but if he doesn't win the varsity job this year, another year developing won't hurt him.  When it's all said and done, he will have a very good HS career.  Looking forward to offseason workouts starting in just over a week.  You understand why the program has been so successful when you see the offseason program / workouts / days, etc. are already mapped out until the end of the school year, including spring practice dates.
