The Bengals are now 0-4 in games where they have scored more than 33 points!

That is a crazy stat! Has that ever happened before?

    That was fun!

  • Even the officials should have got that one right but on replay it is simple, clear, and accurate.  But we don't use that.   On some level I think the NFL is fighting technology.  Meaning the mor

This is completely off topic and wouldn’t change the result. However, when did there become different levels of unsportsmanlike penalties like they did today?

I asked myself the same thing. Lapham was excited and Dan Hoard said as much as soon as the flag was thrown. To me it seems like the NFL has to many degrees of rules.

I did some research and this is what I found from an article of the game from Athlon Sports:

There are three specific portions of the unsportsmanlike conduct rule that qualify for the two-and-out rule: (a) throwing a punch, or a forearm, or kicking at an opponent, even though no contact is made. (b) using abusive, threatening, or insulting language or gestures to opponents, teammates, officials, or representatives of the League; and (c) using baiting or taunting acts or words that may engender ill will between teams.

The fourth does not qualify for an ejection: (d) any violent gesture, or an act that is sexually suggestive or offensive.

The first Pickens penalty was for taunting. That qualifies toward ejection. The second penalty was received for firing finger funs toward the stands after a long catch. While Pittsburgh received a 15-yard penalty, Pickens was not ejected on the play.

Not sure but I would doubt it.

Tom Brady in his career only lost 4 games when he scored 33 or more. Burrow has lost 4 in one season. That is crazy!

I assume you are saying defensive coaching? I agree but we also have a sloowwww defense. Our linebackers are slow. Our safeties are slow. Hubbard is slow. Total reboot on the defense. I am done with Pratt, Bell, Stone and Rankins. Hubbard is worth 10 snaps a game.

The only slot we need to fix on the offense is right guard. The Bengals will also have to draft a WR. Every other draft pick needs to be defense.

Both are horrible. Our secondary is pure garbage and I agree about Hubbard some. When a player like Reeder leaves though, it’s going to be an impact and miss for the DL. If not for Hendrickson, things would be even worse defensively. Defensive coaching seriously needs a change, as the bulk of the defense does too.

Major difference in personnel, Brady had a lot more support from New England on and off the field.

Right, at some point if I am Joe I want out.

I’m hoping it doesn’t happen but if the Cincinnati circus continues, he could be. And there are teams capable of assisting him.

Obviously hence the reason why I brought it up. When you score 33 points or more there is zero reason you should lose, much less 4 games in one season. Shows had bad this defense is.

You take Try Hendrickson, Mike Hilton and maybe 1 or 2 other defensive veterans you can rely on.  The rest of the players and the entire defensive staff is gone at seasons end.

You score 38 points in an NFL game, you should win.  This defense is an absolute joke and frankly, an insult to the fan base.

Just saw while watching highlights of today's NFL games that with the loss today the Bengals have set an all-time record in the NFL for the most losses in a season where they have scored 25 or more points. The yare now 2-6 in games where the offense has scored 25 or more points. Unreal!!

The right guard fix is already on the roster, put the Lee kid from Miami at center and move Karras to guard, let him make the line calls until you think Lee is ready

Agree on the D being sssllooowwwwww!!  According to PFF we have the 2nd slowest defense in the NFL, hate to see the one that is slower!!!  Cut on Hubbard!!!  Cutting him and Stone saves the Bengals $15 mil next year, don’t owe them a thing with $0 hit on dead cap money, gone!!  Rankins, Bell and Stone complete busts in free agency!!  Pratt goes on social media, guarantees a win then does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING during the game to make it happen, didn’t make 1 good play the whole game, see ya!!

This one made me laugh.

I blame the NFL, instant replay, and the rules for what is or is not reviewable.
