That sucked. Two of the biggest plays in this one in my opinion were the missed field goal that would have put them up 10. Then shortly after right before half with about 1 minute 30 left and two timeouts. The Bengals had the Eagles 3rd and 16 and allowed the Eagles to run a simple deep curl route to Brown for the first down. The Eagles ended up scoring right before half and then right after half for a big 14 point swing. 

This was a fantastic catch for a TD.

Yes, and what (once again) was Lou’s call, rush 3, just like KC, stood around all day and waited, first down!!!!  Dadgone Lou, are you learning anything honey???!!!

Bengals have a culture problem top to bottom. They refuse to pay their stars and let them walk while thinking they’ll just draft the next star and develop them. 
 

Well those picks aren’t working out and you have stars leaving for new teams. No reason Jesse Bates shouldn’t be in stripes and Tee and Ja’marr shouldn’t have been paid by now. 
 

They just don’t seem to get up to play for Zac anymore and his play calling is wasting Joe’s prime.

I honestly don’t think that it’s they refuse to pay their stars. In case of Bates, they used that money that could have been spent on him on getting Orlando Brown, and keeping Wilson and Pratt. In their mind keeping two defensive players like them was better than keeping one. Now was that the smart decision to keep them instead of Bates? As it seems now probably not. 
 

As for Higgins I may be in the minority on this, but I am perfectly fine with them not extending Tee. I love Tee, but if you are going to pay the money they are paying Burrow. You can’t give Tee the contract he seems to want, and then also pay Chase. You have to trust your QB to be able to perform without having to have two WRs making over 25 million a year. I also definitely think they will sign Chase, and they have a history to back it up that they do pay to keep their star number 1 WRs. They paid Chad Johnson, they paid Aj Green, and they will eventually pay Chase.

They also let Mixon go this offseason and now he’s one of the best backs in football again. NFL allows 5 scouts and the Bengals refuse to pay a 5th scout to save money. It starts up top but as for on the field, this coaching staff is wasting this roster.

I absolutely think they made the right move in letting Mixon go to. There hasn’t really been any run this year where anyone really could say Mixon would have done more with that. Mixon is having a great year no doubt, but the line and run scheme in Houston is better than what is here. Let’s not let what he is doing there, make us think he would be doing the same here. Mixon if he was here would have been running into zero space just like our backs yesterday. 
 

I agree with their evaluations, scouting and all that being wrong. Look at the Chiefs for example, it’s not like they are paying all these top stars all over their roster. It just doesn’t happen once you pay your QB. However, what they have done has hit on a lot of draft picks that allows them to still have talent to go with their QB. 
 

So to me it’s not about the Bengals anymore refusing to spend money. It’s more on who they decided to spend money on being wrong, and also not drafting well. I completely agree with the coaching staff failing too, and I think even Burrow may be frustrated with the coaching too. I’m hoping if Burrow does express frustration to Katie Blackburn and Mike Brown about wanting a change. That they listen to him, and not keep status quo and eventually end up with another Palmer situation. 

I’m glad I was at my daughters cheer competition yesterday instead of seeing the game. I saw a couple posts later into the game online and looked no further. The season is officially done for Cincinnati.

I don't think it is over but there isn't much rope left. Hopefully they'll take care of the Raiders but a loss to Baltimore on Thursday night after that will almost be it.

I’m trying to be optimistic but with having Pittsburgh left twice, Baltimore again on the road, and others, it’s going to take nearly a perfect effort moving forward, if not completely.

I have continuously blamed the Cincinnati Media for over-hyping our 40-something Media Market sized teams, which is their job to do, BUT the problem is that the gullible Cincinnati fans, mostly youngsters, college age, and post-college age, drink the Kool-Aid and begin the season with high expectations, in every sport, in every season, which leads to perennial disappointment and frustration.

Joe Burrow and JaMarr Chase are not from around here.  They didn't grow up as Bengals fans.  Other than drawing their paychecks from a Cincinnati Financial institution, they have no allegiance to you the fans, nor to the City of Cincinnati.  To be brutally honest, they are stuck here and wish they were somewhere else.

Burrow is watching his professional football stock plummet, and his career circle the bowl.  In a more well-rounded situation, he could be somebody, doing something, but he's stuck in our backwater town that makes excuses and is probably financially incapable of competing with the big boys!   Being drafted by Cincinnati was his misfortune.  Taking us to the Super Bowl showed just how good he could be with a competitive franchise.

I always have and always will blame the press and the media for bestowing on our teams titles and coronations, without holding them accountable, and making them earn those adulations.  

Jason Williams is a "Come Lately."  He has taken on the role of the Cincinnati Nay-Sayer and seems to have plenty of material on a weekly basis to fire shots at our sports franchises.

I don't have any answers, other than to learn to think and evaluate for yourselves, and view us as other out of town teams and franchises view us.  On an annual basis the only folks who truly believe that we are a consistent caliber playoff teams town, are Cincinnatians who read our own press clippings.
