Male (4-1) will travel to Frederick Douglass (3-2) after beating Pleasure Ridge Park 42-21. Frederick Douglass is coming off an open week. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30.

Last year, Frederick Douglass beat Male 21-20 in the 6A Playoffs.

Common opponent:

Trinity 23 Frederick Douglass 13

Trinity 24 Male 21

RB Chayce Burton leads the bulldogs with 631 yards and 10 touchdowns. Versatile Antonio Harris has played QB and WR. He has 214 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns and also 192 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns. LB Solomon Conley leads the defense with 23 tackles.

Frederick Douglass has a talented roster as well and are led by QB Jaxon Strautman who has passed for 482 yards and 11 touchdowns. RB Dakari Talbert leads the rushers with 378 yards and 3 touchdowns. The leading WR is Aveion Chenault with 237 yards and 9 touchdowns. Logan Busson leads the defense with 23 tackles and 3 sacks.

This looks to be a good game like last year's game. The key will be which Frederick Douglass team shows up. The one that lost to Manual or the one that beat Bowling Green. Male after last year's loss will be motivated and won't take Frederick Douglass lightly. Does Male get the road win or does Frederick Douglass make it 2-0 over the Bulldogs

Douglass should be rather healthy after having the week off. If the Douglass offense can move the ball on the ground they way they did against both Bowling Green and last week vs. Corbin then they will have a real shot. It should be one of the better games in the state. Come out to "The Farm". The game will be on both the NFHS Network and on Glicod sports as well. Go Broncos!

From Douglass head coach Nate McPeek.
We are happy to welcome 5 power 4 programs and 4 group of 5/FCS college coaches to the farm tonight. Welcome to the FARM! 2 teams with several great future prospects! @fdouglassfb

I don't like a lot of this for the Broncos. It's been 2 weeks since the last game. This week was fall break. So I fear there has been a lot more playing CFB 25 at home, and maybe not as much film watching. Hopefully, that isn't the case.

But it's senior night, and with 30 seniors to celebrate, that's quite the distraction. Usually, senior night is the last home game and as big as this game is on the schedule, I just don't know that it makes sense to have it tonight. 21 & 23 senior nights were both losses vs Boyle, but both of those games were the last home game of the season.

In regards to the game itself, Douglass has GOT to have another receiver step up to make plays. We are at the halfway point, and there hasn't been a reliable 2nd option to Aveion. Yes, Derion Talbert returns, but he has to be afforded time to knock the rust off, before he can be relied heavily on.

I think this may be a come from behind win, 21-20 Broncos at the Farm.

Not to mention you are playing one of the best teams in Kentucky.

I have my popcorn for this one, I can't wait!
