Georgia 13 Kentucky 12

Final. A heck of a game and effort by the Cats. This one hurt to be that close and come up short, but loved the effort, fight, and heart they showed tonight!

Proud of the fight in the Cats tonight. A couple of breaks and UK could have actually won this game.

Happy to be wrong on my prediction, I expected to get drilled tonight based on last week's game.

Considering what everyone was saying about Kentucky going into this game, I tip my hat to Stoops and the Wildcats for not buying into what was being said about them. I'd go as far as to say, before the South Carolina loss, nobody thought UK was staying within 2 touchdowns of Georgia.

My hope is Kentucky can get healthy because they've got some really solid players that can help this team when they're able to take the field.

On a side note. Good to see Willie Rodriguez out there making some plays tonight as a true freshmen.

Wildcats just did not have lady luck on their side tonight. Initially you could've said that 55 yard fg was luck but then Raynor went 4/4 and hit another 50+ yard field goal.  Good to know that he's dependable in those situations, that's big time.

The Cats did about everything they could to do except win the game. The led for the first 3 quarters. The had 9 more first downs (23-12). They had more total yards (284-262). They had over 10+ minutes on time of possession (35:02-24:58). They had fewer penalty yards (45-85). 3rd down conversions the Cats were 9-16 and Georgia was just 5-13. However, the Dogs won the one that counts the scoreboard.

Punting the ball back to Georgia on 4th and 8 in Georgia territory with around 3 minutes to go was just another boneheaded decision  by Stoops. I honestly question the man’s intelligence at times. That was their best chance to win the game and he just makes another terrible decision.

At least this game will probably cause the voters to move Texas up to number one.

Which matters so much.

Reminded me of the Bengals dumb decision to punt late last week vs. the Patriots.

Stoops is just way too cautious and it doesn't fit college football today that is leaning toward taking more risks.

Feel bad for the defense because they played their hearts out and the offense just wasn't able to put up enough points.  I still think UK got hosed on the pick 6 that was reversed.  The ball may have hit the turf but I don't think there was enough video evidence to overturn.

I totally disagree. If it had been 4th and three maybe where you could have ran or passed it I'd went for. Once it got to 4th and 8, the smart play was to punt it with with 3 timeouts and a 2 minute warning. That could have gotten the ball back to UK with plenty of time. The problem was, UK had a defensive lapse on one play and allowed UGA to get out to midfield and run more clock.

UK had only a handful of plays that went for over 8 yards all night, the smart play was to punt it and just get another stop.

It didn't work, so it's easy to criticize the call.

I get the logic but my disagreement is that the defense was gassed.  I just didn't have any confidence in them to stop Georgia one more time and that was the way it played out.

Even if you go for it and fail, you still have a chance to use your timeouts to get it back.

I disagree, I guess.

Every one wants to always go for it, but if they go for it and get stuffed everyone complain Stoops should have punted.

According to ESPN Analytics: Kentucky had a 34% chance to win if they went for the 4th down. Kentucky had a 12% chance to win if they punted.  It was a stupid decision. And what was with redoing the kickoff after the push in the back call against Georgia just to move the ball from the 26 to the 25? That was a waste of time for one yard. He just doesn’t think at times.
