I have heard Mason County is getting an out of state transfer that could be enough to push them to #1. Yes... I know what day it is. No...it's not a joke.

Absolutely, yes.

See Brooksville’s link above for a very informative synopsis of Jake’s Mason County basketball heritage.  Golf legacy is pretty strong, too and might(?)  carry some weight in this transfer.

Dylan Moran has stepped down as coach at Nicholas Co. after only 1 season.

This was a golf move.  Kid finished top 20 in State Individual last year and Mad Central is Back to Back State Champs.

Just saw that Jake shot +1 yesterday in the opening round of the Kentucky Open at The Cardinal Club.  Pretty solid start against the top amateurs and pros in the state.

I would agree with this. Pure talent standpoint goes to MoCo.

I am at a complete loss as to what you are seeing on Mason Co.   Lost top 5 scorers and 6 of top 8.  Really like Coach Kirk and hope he can bring back calm waters to the storm seen, predicted and expected by many in last year’s Royals.  Coach Kirk is a winner.

Who else would you put above Mason County?

Greatly respect your knowledge and familiarity with the teams.  My response wasn’t intended to challenge you, but to see how you think Coach Kirk can get that much out of what he has returning?  The unexpected loss of Feldhaus appears early to be a real setback for the Royals with so little experience now coming back.   Or does your ranking speak to an unusually weak 10th Region.

Couldn’t agree more.  The 10th is going to be really weak this year.  It will be GRC and everybody else.
