West Jessamine was 8-21 and finished 13th in the region based on RPI.  If they are a contender in the 12th region it will be a tremendous turnaround.

Agreed. I know it is a different time with more player movement but I remember Steve Adams first season at Boyle they weren't good at all, but after that they were annual competitors. I suspect they'll be better this season but it might be another year before they are a contender. However, West is a program with good tradition and Adams is a great coach. They'll be back in the running sooner than later.

  • They certainly had a promising start but weren't yet at the level to sustain that success. Certainly reason to believe they should be able to build off of that.

  • Their recovery ability is not any better than older players.  You can spot it if you know what you’re looking for.  Slow reaction time, lack of effort on the offensive boards, standing and watching, t

Until someone beats Pulaski they are the favorite. They return plenty and I think won both the JV and Freshman regions. Mercer had them on the ropes and couldn’t get it done. I read in another post th

Serious question, what is the scoop with the offers?  I get the 6"11 kid potentially getting one as a project, but the returning guard avg. 6 PPG last year...  Has he shot up tremendously in size, or what?  I do think they'll be much improved under Coach Adams.

If the guard is a D1 caliber player then I can name about 6-7 other kids in the 12th region that should be getting D1 offers as well.

Yeah, was why I thought it was odd...I had to go look the stats up...

Are you saying that #2 has a D1 offer??? Where ??

Excellent for him. He has good quickness and can get hot from 3

I’ve said previously that West will surprise some people. They have the 6’10” kid eligible now, Adams as the coach and they play exceptionally hard. That said, all this D1 talk is just silliness.

Saw Pulaski in Summer ball yesterday(yes I know you can't take anything from summer ball), they had zero guard ability to handle pressure in two losses. Are they missing some guards right now? Not wanting drama lol just a legitimate question. Scott County forced them into at least 20 turnovers.

I would say Fraley wasn’t playing. I think he was having some knee surgery from injury last year that kept him out. If he is healthy they will have plenty of ball handling.

I've haven't seen Fraley in a while but I def think he wasn't there. Physically they will be an imposing squad from what I seen.

Does Pulaski have any basketball players that also play baseball? They weren't knocked out of the region until Thursday night, so if they have some multi-sport players some of them may have been absent due to baseball.

No, with their school size they don’t have many crossover athletes.
