Bengals vets angry, embarrassed by latest arrest

Sounds like Palmer isn't the only player upset about this problem. Maybe the players will make someone do something about this situation, whether it be the Bengal organization or the NFL. I would say there are embarrassed and tired of the comments and jokes.

Let's see who was responsible for bringing all 9 to Cincinnati???? Oh that's right Marvin was. How about stick to the claim he made last spring that character would count in bringing players to the Bengals.

The other thing this does is to question A)Marvin's honesty to the fans; and/or B)his judgement.

 

Remember his view was that these problems HAD ZERO to do with the lack of success by the Bengals this year. And then this quote from the article.....

"Willie [Anderson], Carson [Palmer], John Thornton, the guys who do things right, have been forced to answer for the guys who decided not to do the right thing," linebacker Brian Simmons told the newspaper. "The perception of the team across the country is bad. It's as if it's going around like the plague."

 

So either Marvin lies to the fans or thinks we are stupid or he is clueless on how this is affecting his team.

I would be willing to bet that close to 3/4ths of the players in the NFL do alot of the same things that the Bengals have gotten arrested for. So mostly every team has players on the team that do these things, but they dont get caught. Maybe we just got better cops in the Greater Cincinnati/NKY area than we thought...

However we could get rid of these guys, and bring in 9 brand new guys and I would be willing to bet that atleast 4 or 5 of them would do the same things as them. Did I say it was no big deal? I even admitted what they did is wrong and I know that. But you all saying that Marvin and the Bengals need to stick to the character guys like they said, and my point is if they did get rid of those 9 guys and brought in 9 guys that have good records right now. I would be willing to bet that atleast 4 or 5 of them would still do the same things that these players have done, it would just matter if they got caught. My point is I bet most NFL players have done what these Bengal players do, and a matter of fact I bet most professional athletes do. I mean you could get rid of the guys, but you still going to bring in players most likely that do the same things, it just depends if they get caught...The problem is with all professional athletes because they think they are invincible and can get away with anything it is just not a Bengals problem. I mean yeah bring in some new guys who do the same things but haven't get caught yet, and chances are they will keep doing the same things until they actually get caught. While if you keep these guys who have now got caught, there is a better chance that it wont happen again, unless of coarse your Chris Henry who just kept getting in trouble no matter how many times he got caught...

From what I've heard at least 50% of the NFL smokes pot...

I think Marvin is the kind of guy that sees good in people and feels like he can bring that out while helping guys get their life right. That is one thing I always liked about him. There is a time that you can only give people so much of a break when you are in a position like his. I agree with the CODE RED call. The word should be out that the next will be sent packing!

I think there might be someone a little bit higher up pulling the strings on that puppet.
