Baseball Nut 24
Who you got in round 3??? These two teams played a pair of nail biters in the regular season but round 3 tonight will be the only one that matters. Back on Jan 12th (All A Classic) Holy Cross beat Beechwood 48-44. Then Beechwood won in Ft. Mitchell on Feb 9th in 3 overtimes 66-64. Holy Cross did play the second game without Luke Arlinghaus (13 ppg). He will be back for tonight. If you can't make it down to the Fieldhouse at Holmes in person tonight you can listen to all the live action on Holy Cross Radio starting at approx 7:15 pm. Tip time set for 7:30 pm. https://vcloud.blueframetech.com/holycross/widget?I'd=145 3

ProblemChild
Did the HC cheerleaders really get into a fight on the floor after the game?
PP1
Well... since you brought it up. When the teams got back to the locker room, Ken Ellis (Covington's AD) went over to our student section and started motioning the kids to exit immediately. Then he started pointing to the door for all fans, including parents to leave. I thought this was rather odd because it was a relatively calm atmosphere, the crowds were not yelling at each other, there was no dirty play during the game, or technical fouls/warning given. IT was a hard, clean game. Apparently there was a skirmish between two players of the Holy Cross cheerleading team, not sure if it was a fight or not. As for the game, HC played a man-to-man defense the first half that smothered Beechwood. The Tigers could not get any open looks at all. 2nd Half, they switched to a zone defense for some reason and Beechwood got more open looks. The Indians only scored 12 points in the second half. The last 2 minutes, Beechwood hit a lot of free throws and HC struggled from the line.
