Mustain will stay in school this semester, and he will know what Simms is going to do on Feb 7th or sooner.

I believe he is the 13th rated Pro-Style QB...which is what UL wants...Rivals has actually admitted to believing that he is under-rated as of now. With that, I think he has some mechanical improvements that need to be made, the real question is whether or not he will be willing to accept a redshirt, where as Mitch won't have any choice, and that would benefit Louisville as well.

His dad is former NFL Super Bowl MVP and his brother is currently a starter at QB in the NFL. And the kid "has some mechanical improvments" to make? I would think that the one thing this kid would be is mechanically near perfect. Thats strange in my book.

As a UofL fan, the last position I ever need to be worried about is QB.

Simms or no Simms, we will do just fine.

^ That's actually a very good point.

We are kinda "QBU"....

I've heard he wants to be like dad and be a Morehead State Golden Eagle. :D

All jokes aside, if he don't return to Louisville I wouldn't be suprised to actually see him follow big brothers footsteps and be hookin' em for the horns, although he might be riding pine a couple seasons behind McCoy.

Daddy said he's ahead of Chris at this point of his career, and Simms is in the league, mechanics problem or not the kid has one heck of a pedigree.

Really?

I would be beyond shocked.

No way he ends up at Texas.

Stranger things have happened in the recruiting world, although his most likely destination is still NC State, if not Louisville.

Not too many.
All these kids would still sit behind Cantwell.
If Simms does end up at Louisville, that's what he's signing on for. He wants to redshirt, and he'd be a RS Frosh while Cantwell will be a RS Senior.

Depending on who grasps the offense best in 2008, will be the starter.

Who cares about Rivals aren't they the ones that gave Brohm less than 5 stars? The Simms family has a NFL pedigree second only to the Manning family. The Cards want Simms and if he picks NCSt I'll be shocked.

That being said, Simms definitely won't be beating out Hunter in 2008 but he could be the man in '09.
