The Bulldogs (12-4) (1-2) travel to Lexington to take on the Cats (12-3) (2-1) on Wednesday night at 7:00pm on ESPN2. Both teams are coming off a loss. The Bulldogs lost at home to Alabama 82-74 and the Cats lost on the road at Texas A&M 97-92 in OT. This is the first of two straight home games for Kentucky they play Georgia on Saturday at home also. Go Cats!!

    I would expect Kentucky will bounce back and get the win.  With that said, Mississippi State is capable of pulling off the upset.  The Wildcats need to be ready to play on Wednesday. 

    Defense. Cal's strongest X and O skill as a coach has been defense. It is time to get it going. Playing time is starting to be determined by defense.

    I imagine Miss St  is physical, and this may account for the thin spread.   UK has some great young players but they are not physically mature yet and don't have what I call "man strength."   I think this is going to be a problem for this team.   As I watch the good teams from the SEC and other conferences on TV - Big East, Big Ten, Big 12 mainly - this relative lack of maturity and strength becomes more apparent to me.   Maybe I'm wrong and UK can handle this -----hope so.

    They did beat Tennessee last week.

    I would say they because they are a pretty good team this year who plays a very physical style of ball plus they have wins while at home over Tennessee by 5 and Northwestern by 9 and Northwestern has beat at the time #1 ranked Purdue.

    Love the run the Cats went on when Sheppard and Dillingham came in then we give up two straight 3’s on terrible defense.
