Beechwood parts ways with longtime assistant Bob Burnett

Nope ... Coach B retired from his assistant principal and AD role at the end of 2005. He coached at Lloyd for a year or so, Turpin for a few years then he was at Cooper before he came back to Beechwood in 2016 (I may have the order wrong at the beginning -- but I think I have it correct). (Darrick Brilz coached the O-Line during that period).  Ben Zimmerman took over both spots that Coach B held down at the beginning of Coach Rash's tenure.

I am sure that Coach Rash and Coach B still spoke frequently during that time period.

I completely missed out on all of those career stops, haha.

Coach Burnett has rejoined the coaching staff at Cooper. Great get by the Jags.

Let go or retired? I had heard during the season that this might be his last year coaching. There was some special recognition he received towards the end of the regular season at a couple of games. T

Then quit smoking ... or better yet ...quit throwing matches in a mud puddle.

Guess who didn't hate the uniforms ... the KIDS ...which is all that matters.

I loved everything about black uniform night. So much fun. The stadium loved it. The players loved it. It was one night in the middle of a boring part of the season. Loved it!

1. My bad, I should’ve used my sarcasm font.
2. You all really get all weird defending those uniforms. Like really weird.

:classic_laugh: Maybe so. Just amazed at how many people got really weird hating on a fun one time thing.

I know the Jags have to be very excited to have coach B back at Cooper!

Good for Coach Burnett. Back to where he was before returning to Beechwood. How long was he at Cooper in his previous time on staff there?

I think 6 or 7 years?

That sounds about right. I think he left Beechwood and went to Cooper in 2006 when Rash was named the new head coach. Then I believe he returned to Beechwood in 2014, maybe 2015?

Cooper didn’t start until 2008 and I don’t believe he was there the first year. He either started in 2009 or 2010. He was at Cooper through the 2016 season I believe.

He was at Lloyd and Turpin before he ended up at Cooper. Fairly sure Lloyd was no more than one year ...Turpin was at least a 2 to 3 years. Then Cooper ... you are correct on the return to Beechwood in 2016.
