Due to RPI if everyone wins that is supposed to Douglass will have to go back to Trinity to where they beat them in week 2. Bryan Station will go to Ballard.

Congrats to Frederick Douglass. Coach Wolfe seems to like going for two. Worked last year against St. X but not tonight. 5 year run of championship games for Male ends. I'm sure the Bulldogs will be in the hunt again next year.

2 Lexington schools will be rematching 2 Louisville school that theyve both beat for a chance to go to the State Championship.

So Douglas this season despite being in a down year beat St X in a scrimmage, beat Trinity on the road and has now beat Male on the road for a regional championship. Can any other school in Ky say they've done anything similar against the Big 3?

Male had a great first offensive drive but then kind of got away from their physical run game after that. Thought FD did a really good job controlling the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball after that first offensive drive by Male. 
 

It feels like Wolfe overthinks situations sometimes. Beginning of the 2nd half Male tries an onside kick which sets up FD with a short field and then going for two seems like a move a team who is the underdog would do. Sometimes those gambles pay off like last year year against St. X, sometimes they don’t.

They can say but it probably wouldn't be true.     

Male put up 61 on Fern Creek this year. Veiled shot at Male looks like.

Some of Douglass supporters thought the team was a down some this year, but they played a killer schedule and I for one am certain if they had not played the schedule they played this year. If it had been like the ones they were forced to play in past 6 seasons they would not have won that game tonight. I applaud Coach McPeek for not worrying about regular season wins and knowing what his team needs to win big games in the 6A playoffs and showed tonight.

Going into tonight the 4 teams that beat Douglass in the regular season were a combined 43-5.
