Devils Set Their Sights West For Souls To Steal

Records: Owensboro (1-3) | Graves County (2-2)

BGP Rankings: Owensboro (#6 in 5A)

Week 4 Results: Owensboro lost to OCath 28-33 | Graves County beat Caldwell County

Series History: Owensboro leads 11-3 all-time

Where they've been: Owensboro is sitting on its worst four game start since 2004. A schedule featuring two top ranked teams and a third state contender have been slightly more than the relatively young Devils could handle. Graves County has balanced two blowout losses to start the season with lopsided wins the last two weeks.

Where they're going: Owensboro heads to Mayfield, where their fortunes may begin looking up. Since becoming district mates in 2015, this series has been dominated by the Devils, 10-1. But winning breeds confidence, and Graves County has gotten a taste, albeit against teams with a combined record of 1-7.

  • I don’t know much about this Graves team other than what I saw against Mayfield. They look to be physical but not the offensive powerhouse with a high level QB the Devils saw in their losses to CAL, B

  • 14-0 Devils Still 1st Q. Devils moving the ball pretty easy. Defense is doing ok.

  • Devils 14 Graves 7.

Owensboro should win this game.  Period.  But it is a road district game against the best district team they will face.  So anything could happen.  But I still expect the Red Devils to right the ship here.

Maybe something like 28-17 Owensboro.

I don’t know much about this Graves team other than what I saw against Mayfield. They look to be physical but not the offensive powerhouse with a high level QB the Devils saw in their losses to CAL, BG, and OC. If the Devils defense can get off the field I expect them to put up a lot of points and pull away early. If not and Graves is able to put together long drives and control the clock. This game could be too close for comfort.

Give me Devils 35 Graves 14

Hampton

Winstead

Delacey

3 horses should dominate.  Hampton gets loose plenty here.

I think you nailed it there.  They ran the ball well against Mayfield, but passing game was lacking.  I don't see it being an easy win for Owensboro, but I'm wrong as often as I'm right.

I have never gone into a game as clueless about the outcome as I do for this one. I’d like to think we win this one. 28-21

I think Graves has a punchers chance here, but, I really expect O'Boro to win by 2-3 TDs..

Hampton shows out in this one… 42-14 off a blind guess.

Rule 13

Just found out that Crowe will be sitting this one out(ankle sprain). So this one just got a little more interesting…. Shouldn’t affect the offense too much as Delacey has other weapons to throw to. But the already struggling defense just took a step back with Crowe being out….

I’ve noticed nobody has mentioned Morris at WR for the Devils but he’s been emerging as the Devils top receiver. Kid is electric I look for him to have a big game if the Eagles decide to load the box to stop the run.

14-0 Devils

Still 1st Q. Devils moving the ball pretty easy. Defense is doing ok.

14-0 still 1st Quarter

Crowe out and Bradin all game

Flags hurting the Devils.
