I watched the H vs Cooper game and that’s pretty much what happened. Highlands got to impatient on offense for whatever reason and it allowed Cooper (to their credit) to make it come down to an onside kick.

Cooper’s game could of gone either way vs. Highlands this season.  As for their loss to 6A Ryle, I can’t share anything besides the game could go different in Win/Loss column if they played again.

Watch out for Cooper in the post season, they are better than what their ranking shows.  They have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball as well.  The defense just needs to step up more to match their high powered offense.

RPI factors in many things. One thing it does not factor is Margin of victory. What hurts Cooper is they only beat one team with a winning record (6-4 Bardstown). They will struggle vs. Scott Co. in round 2 unless they can stop their run game.

After almost a decade of being completely irrelevant in the 5A championship picture, it seems that the classic Highlands aura of automatically winning state is back. Missed it so much!

By the way, he was being modest, Bowling Green is going to hang 50.

@Devils Fan 5A football just doesn’t jump off the board when you look at the potential teams in the 8 that will be remaining after tonight. I don’t see either of them being tested until the final four if we’re being honest. Scott County can’t hang with the Spartans and that BG/Highlands will be a damn good one forsure.

@TheBallCoach  I'm not counting out Scott County completely their defense is pretty similar to South Warrens. Maybe the best defense the Spartans will face this season. That will be a good game, but I expect SW to come out on top in a close game. As for BG and Highlands that will be an epic offensive show down. 2 good matchups to look forward to. If it all plays out that way.
