The NFL was probably monitoring the social media wave and the word came from New York to call one if it looks like the Chiefs won't win the game.

Yep that and the holding call too really hurt the Chiefs on their last drive. So odd that they finally called penalties at the worst possible time for the Chiefs after they let them do it the whole game. 

Why did KC go for it on 4th and 25?

Toney, a hero of sorts in the Super Bowl, was as horrendous as you could be tonight.

Happy for Detroit! This is a very impressive win for them, even with the players out for KC. I said after last season that I liked Detroit’s chances of winning the NFC North this season and I believe their chances are still as good.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out for Kansas City.  Taylor is now on blast by social media and the press.  No way in heck they don't start calling him for that starting next week.  And if that was what it takes to keep Mahomes vertical, they the Chiefs are in a world of hurt.

And if they continue to let it slide, well then the league will just look stupid saying they don't play favorites.

Of course, I have to give kudos to the Covington Holy Cross grad, Derrick Barnes, who had 6 tackles (5 solo and 1 TFL) for the Lions.
