Does anyone have any info on the game?

They used to play in January. I don't think they play anymore.

Yep...it's probably been 10 or 15 years since they last played one.

I wonder who ended it?  Seemed like Kentucky held their own in the series.

2018 was the last one I believe 

Kentucky and Ohio should get one going.

My daughter's boyfriend played for the TN All-Stars in the 2017 game at Sevier County HS.

It would be a nice event. However, these post season all-star football games just aren't getting the players they used to. Most of the guys we'd be interested in seeing wouldn't participate, and this game would pull other players from other local all star games that still get good participation. The other issue is that Ohio is so much bigger and deeper in talent, and I'm not sure how competitive the game would be, and because of that, how much interest the game would generate.

Agreed. Was a great experience for HS football coaches and players to be part of such an event. To be on UK's campus, practice for a week, take the field and there are orange jerseys on the other side... very cool. 

 

2004 I got to be in the pressbox at Neyland. Our Mason County QB, Dustin Grutza played great and we won. Before we got down the steps of Neyland, the other guys on the staff were already riding me that the pressure was on to win in 2005 (when I would be the head coach).  The 2005 team was crazy good and we won by 2 TDs.

Being in the press box at Neyland was definitely one of the many highlights for me.
