Do UK Students Need a Different Section For Basketball Games?

Featured Replies

If there are seats that the students dont take up, it is usually the seats that are in rows WW-ZZ...And do you really blame a student who pays all that tuition to go to UK, for not wanting to have to sit in the very top of the arena to watch his own school play...If students had more better seats available to them then there would be even more students going for them. But even now for the most part, the students still fill up the high nose bleed sections of the upper level. So just imagine how the students would be jumping all over the seats that were actually close to the court...

Last time I checked all that money was paid for an education (which is why you go to college) and not so they could get good seats at basketball games.

They've been watching games since before you were born and you expect to take away their seats. Extremely funny.

He expects to take away our seats, and not pay for them. Actually it's more than just funny.

So thats why UK isn't getting good recruits.

It would depend on who's rankings you look at, however Im not going to do your homework for you. I do remember them having a consensus #1 class a couple of years ago, however I think all home games were played at Cameron the year prior, so that probably explains how we stole those kids.. Just the other day I saw UK ranked 12th in current rankings, without PP. However Im not going to sit here and dig up 10 years worth of rankings to try and prove a point to you that you still won't get.

Do you not want to dig up the things because you not I am right? As I said we have one top 10 recruiting class on this years squad and that is the junior class. As you said we are ranked 12th next year without P.P. So if we dont get him then probably a good chance we wont make the top 10, which is wow something I just said in my previous post. So if they end up being 12th next year, that is not top 10 so that goes against your top 10 thing. Not to mention if you take into account the recruits in this teams senior and sophomore classes it really brings us down, because those recruiting classes were not good at all. So yeah your right though we still consistently get a top 10 recruiting class...

What? I was just talking about the fact that he thinks because he pays for his education, he should get floor seats at Rupp.

I know, I was just explaining what I meant by it. I'm like you in this one in that I really enjoyed reading the thread.

I think you should start looking for a new team to support. I have yet to hear you say one positive thing about UK. You don't like our fans, you don't like our arena, you don't like our recruits.. Is there anything you DO like about UK?

Well if it wasn't for this education system, there would be no basketball program. The basketball program exist because of this education system. So why shouldn't students who pay to go to this university get the chance to sit closer to watch a basketball team that exist because of the students going to the school...

Where did you sit when you went to UK?

I'd say because those seats are occupied by people who have been attending games for decades and donating money for decades to the program. The donations and out of school fan support is just as important to the basketball program as the student body.

Obviously not.. :thumb:

I know if I was that unhappy with a program I supposedly supported, I would seriously think about moving on.

I'll give you a hint. I wore a parachute to the games in case I fell...
