UK currently 3rd.

I was reffering to them not having much effect on the outcome of a game, that comment was mainly meant for the people who believe the noise level changes the outcome of the game. Not the perception of the program. Kentucky fans have always hurt the general perception of the program. But mainly because of the "Win a championship or don't even play the season." mentality that most of them have. As far as perception, UK's key to getting the top recruits is getting them here for midnight madness, IMO.

 

I still cant believe you dont think noise level has much effect on a game. Do you not believe that the players dont find away to play even harder when they hear their own fans yelling and going crazy. When the fans are yelling and behind them as a player it gives them just a little extra from the addrenaline (sp.) Im assuming that you have probably played sports before, and I find it very hard to believe that when you had your crowd yelling and cheering it didn't make you want to find away to play even harder than you were already..So if a crowd is yelling and gets your team to play just a little harder it could have an effect on the outcome. Then also as I have mentioned before that with a home crowd yelling and screaming it does make it a little bit more intimidating on the other team than a bunch of silent people...What you don't get about this amazes me, and I will use your favorite statement for you again. Square block round hole...

Thats fine with me, but if you dont want to waste anymore time with me then why do you always keep bringing me up in other threads. I know I was looking in the update thread of the UT vs. OSU said, and I caught how you said my name and said well maybe FC should switch to OSU since they have a good student section. So even though you might not post anymore in this thread, you keep bringing it up in other threads...

Based on my proposal, this is where I disagree. For the most part, how do recruits watch games at Rupp? That's right, they watch on TV. Perception is reality, and on a TV broadcast the image portrayed is what it is...

I agree that it can have a small effect on the nerves of the opposing team, but it shouldn't have an effect on the home team playing hard. They should play as hard as they can no matter what the crowd is doing. There is something wrong if it takes the crowd getting loud to make players play harder. JMO

You know what I do agree with you, that it shouldn't take a crowd to get a team to play even harder, but it does. Like I assume you have played sports before, and I bet you to though was in a game and you had your home crowd standing up and yelling it just gives you some extra addrenaline (sp.) to go even harder than you already are going. Players should be playing hard all the time, but its hard to argue the fact that when a home crowd is really yelling and getting into the game it does give the players just a little bit more energy, and that could maybe lead to the team making a few more big plays that could have an effect on the outcome of a game...
