This is a rematch of last year's final. The difference is this year they are opposite in the brackets than last year. This year GRC is in the bottom and has the shorter rest. I think that will give the edge to Warren Central.

Time for round 2!  For the fourth time ever and first time since 1988 we have a state title rematch from previous year. Will George Rogers Clark repeat or will Warren Central exact their revenge?

I thought it would be Warren Central and Douglass.  But I thought Warren Central was the team to beat from the start.  I like them 57-53.

And rest. I wish the KHSAA would have kept the finals on Sunday afternoon instead of just wanting not to pay for another day of rent on Rupp. I thought both Douglass and GRC looked tired. I just personally think the semis would be better if they were played tonight at 6:30 and 8:00 and the finals at 2:00 or 3:00 tomorrow afternoon. I think the semi and finals games would be better. jmo

Rest is what I was getting at.

Again, as a fan I love it like this, for the players/teams, no.

I’ve always been a fan of the double feature on Saturday, but I’ve experienced both sides of this in subsequent years, and it definitely stinks for the team that gets less rest.

Warren Central has never beaten George Rogers Clark, losing three matchups. Last year of course, then in 10/11 and 11/12.

As a fan I love the triple header saturday. As a player, if you win it all you can also brag about it the rest of your life how tough it was. But I see it as not exactly a fair thing for the players. I thought the semis used to be played earlier in the past.

They did 10:00 and 11:30 I believe, but again its about money and the KHSAA felt they would make more money moving it back a little.

Agreed.  The whole season there is not one team that is asked to play two games in one day, then for the biggest game of the year, they are required to win two games on the same day to win it all.  I know people will say they are teenagers and they play five games a day in AAU ball.  I get it, but during the whole season they are not asked to play two games in one day, except for the biggest game of the year.
