Did we ever find out why he was out this past year? I heard a lot of different rumors but I don't think anything was ever publicized.

Joe Mixon’s career may be nearing an end. 

Aaron Wilson of NBC Sports is reporting that Mixon has told former Bengals teammates his career is over, but is yet to make an official determination.

Mixon missed the entire 2025 season with a foot injury that required surgery.

I read he shot his self in the foot with a gun.

He hand several gun issues in Cincinnati.
