Great game updates and clips by Evan. ~ Juggs down by as much as 15, pulled as close as one with 2:12 in 4Q.

Really thought Lloyd would be a little better than that record at this point. 2 D1 guys right? Have they had some injuries or just having trouble getting it together?

They’ve had trouble getting it together. They are starting to play better as of recently.

Honestly, I'm a tad surprised at this final.....

Why?  Highlands can score.  Teams that give them trouble are teams that can keep up or control the pace, have at least 1-2 exceptional on ball defenders that can contain Vinson and Ryan which allow you to lock on to Moeves and Herald and not give up wide open 3's.  Lloyd does not have or did not do any of this.

What I was surprised with while watching this game was the lack of post touches, either called or voluntary, for Walker.  Especially against a perimeter oriented team like Highlands.  I know he is young, but he has to dominate a game like this.

I thought Highlands buckled down on defense when they needed it.

Lloyd needs to be figuring this out before it's too late.

They are getting better. Earlier they were losing to Campbell by 20 and losing to Scott. But they do have some more ways to go if they want to make a run in the region.

All I meant was that I've seen both teams.   I expected a very close battle.    Just a 7-point margin, but I thought this one would be a single-score game - and maybe a Lloyd win.    Frankly - and I'll confess I've only seen three Highlands games and one Lloyd game - I thought I Lloyd might win this one.

Highland fans, you can watch the game at Breathitt County right now on Bluegrass Sports Nation (BSN). Almost halftime right now.
