Pretty similar to what BGP has.

I wonder how many of those voters use the BGP poll as a starting point.  Not that it matters, it is for everyone but I do wonder.

They also have the top-5 from each region as well. I think their first ranking is fairly good.. however North Oldham does not get the love they deserve. Played in the KOB week before Christmas, played in the WGM the week after Christmas (probably the 2 most competitive tournaments in the state) and advanced to the championship of both.

I wondered the same exact thing. They are very similar.

Pretty good effort.  First thing that jumps out is North Oldham beat Lyon County by 34, and yet.....

That is what I recalled.. I can not find the big win on Lyon Counties schedule that boosts them overtop a 34-point blowout. 

I don't think North Oldham is really 34 points better than Lyon County, that margin was flukey. But still, it happened.....

Point of order, North Oldham lost to Warren Central in the semifinals of the KOB. 

But I agree, I’m surprised Lyon County is elevated over them.

I can't speak for the whole state but virtually every prep sportswriter in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky is somehow using BGP info, polls and rankings -- statewide and regional -- for KY research. Take my word for it.

❓ A special shout-out to Mark Mathis of the Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer for giving absolutely zero coverage to the Kentucky 2A Tournament. 

Three ranked teams played in his backyard at the SportsCenter - Lex Cath, Mason Co., and DeSales. No write-ups in the M-I or even a re-post from the home page of @Kentucky_2A.

Frakes is heading up an "all-star" team to put out a weekly HS poll. Mathis not acknowledging a tournament in his hometown or seeing teams he's voting for, possibly for the only time this season, is a whiff.
