Dunn to Highlands defense is equivalent to Noon to Highlands offense. This pick could have gone either way imo.

Is it one person per school? because this is not the top 26 players in NKY.

I think it is always one per school and then a few extras which means technically it is not the Top 26 players in NKY.  It is the top player from each school with a few others sprinkled in.

I think this also takes other stuff into account in addition to on field performance. Each coach gets to select one person on their team and then the coaches vote on six additional players to be recognized. So these nominees aren't necessarily the top 26 players in NKY. In some instances, it might not even be the top player on each team that gets this award.

Back in the day this was the Top 22, just saying.

Must be a popularity name thing because for example best overall kicker in state all classes for NKY was kid from Highlands. He is not on this list. Same for Scott’s RB, overall best top RB in state from NKY not on the list. So not sure if coaches really do Justice on the voting for this list or just take  a name they know of. Makes you wonder.
