NKY Football Coaches Association Top 26

Featured Replies

There's only so much room on these lists, and there will always be players left off. While I don't disagree that some others not mentioned were deserving, there's no one on the list that didn't deserve to be there. These post season awards are always very subjective, and yes, like it or not, name recognition is very important, because coaches don't get to play against every team.

Here’s the updated link for awards

Must be a popularity name thing because for example best overall kicker in state all classes for NKY was kid from Highlands. He is not on this list. Same for Scott’s RB, overall best top RB in state from NKY not on the list. So not sure if coaches really do Justice on the voting for this list or just take  a name they know of. Makes you wonder.

I want to confirm I understand. Are you saying a RB from Scott, who isn't in the top 4 RB's listed, is better than Mitchell Berger?

I believe the way this works is that Northern Kentucky Coaches Association votes and you cannot vote for your own players.

With that said, Charlie Noon not being on the first team is a travesty.  I would argue without question that he is one of the top 3 football players in NKY.

I misworded that statement, Not saying he's better than Berg, I meant to say he's Top RB in the NKY area in all classes for stats at RB for NKY RB's.  Scott's RB is 14th, Berger is 17th. All these kids are very good, don't get me wrong. But how can Hill not be one of the 4 best 2022 NKY RB's on the list?

Berger 121-1119 21 TD's 140 Ave  #17 top 50

Welch 140-1320 17 TD's 110 Ave  #46 top 50

Lawson 143-1055 12 TD's 132 Ave  #26 top 50

Leen 205-1134 16 TD's 95 Ave  not in top 50

Hill 196-1448 17 TD's 145 Ave  #14 in top 50

Also great NKY RB's not on the list.

Hopper/Dayton #15 in top 50

Tez Hill/ Holmes # 24 in top 50

Agreed. What are we doing if he’s not a 1st team receiver. Same thing goes for Aiden Jones at LB and Robinson at corner. Come on coaches.
