January 9, 200719 yr Monday, however, Phil Simms, Matt's father, told local radio station WHAS he'd give a thumbs up to Steve Kragthorpe if the Tulsa coach is hired as Louisville's new coach. What does it mean? We're hearing Simms has de-committed, but he'll be back in the fold by week's end once he gets to talk with Kragthorpe. Just reported.

January 9, 200719 yr :thumb: I just checked the stat again, in case it had changed... Rich Brooks has never, for one single, solitary moment, led against the University of Louisville. Kentucky just graduated a class that went FOUR YEARS without ever having more on the board than Louisville. Do not be concerned. Louisville will dig there way out. I know this because I could coach and win 9-10 games against the schedule they play. Additionally, calling Clemson disinterested is an ironic comment from someone who routes for a program that hangs it hat on a win over a very disinterested Alabama team in the Fiesta Bowl.
January 9, 200719 yr Congrats... UL fans definitely need some good news after the last 24 hours. Come on. Give credit where it is due. They are having a great basketball year. They have an excellent chance of making it into the Big East league tourney and possibly the NIT.

January 9, 200719 yr The Simms kid will wise up and sign with Louisville. Kragthorpe has twice the resume' Petrino had when hired. I really don't see this as a down grade at all. In fact he will be another in a long line of great hires by one of the best ADs in the country. As long as Jurich stays the Cards will do fine.
