Cowboys 20 Bengals 17

Final. The Cowboys only score 3 in the 2nd half but it was the last 3.

Sad it is only two games in but its looking like the Bengals like so many other Superbowl runner ups had have the next season. Bengals fall to 0-2 and are at the Jets next week.

This is shades of the old bengals, find ways to loose in close games.

They have completely lost the fire they played with last year, very disappointing, O line can’t run or pass block which doesn’t leave much, we’ve lost to 2 really bad teams, like somebody else said, we’ve played 2 games and found a way (or ways) to lose them both, sssoooo disappointing!!  All 4 teams in the POWERFUL AFC North lose today and probably all 4 to teams they were more talented than.

Defense besides the first two drives was solid. The defense has been solid both games. The problem has been the offense. People will all point to the line first, which the line hasn’t been good. However, the schemes and play calls the coaches are calling also haven’t been good. The plays they are calling have struggled to get receivers open, and blocking schemes has been bad too. So while people will point to the line, I think just as big of a problem has been the play calls and just overall offensive scheme.

The missus was really looking forward to a three-way.

GOLD STAR, guys. Jeez.

Taylor said in the press conference it’s NOT frustrating watching Burrow get sacked 13 times in 2 games!!!  Seriously!!!!  I’m certainly frustrated as all get out!!!  He’s on pace to be sacked over 100 times!!

I'm not big on this defense,  they play ok, but evertime at the end of the game, they give up big plays, you just knew the bengals would loose with no time left on the clock. And if its a rookie or back up QB, they seem to shine against Cincy, then the following week, they do nothing.

The defense the last two years has been what been has kept them in games and even won them games. The defense was also the main reason for their playoff run last year. The defense was the only reason they should have won in week 1 this year despite 5 offensive turnovers. The defense once again after the first two drives this game, kept giving the offense a chance. The defense even gave the offense a chance to go win the game, by giving the offense the ball back at the end in a tie game. The offense then proceeds to go three and out.

The defense is the last thing people should be worried about currently. The defense has put the team in position to win, even with the defense still not even playing at its best yet.

The Bengals need to rethink how they are building their game plans. They never seem to have a good 1st half, and this goes back to last year.   I mentioned in the game thread about how good the Bengals have been since the start of last year in the 3rd quarter and 2nd half of games. They make great adjustments at halftime. If we look back at their record in the 3rd quarter, I am confident they are among the best in the NFL in the 3rd quarter and 2nd half over the past year. That tells me they know how to dissect and figure out what to run. Why can't they do that on the game plans coming in the games?

Yep, it seems like in the first half they’re always reacting to what the defense does instead of attacking right from the start and making the D react to them!!

Unless things improve, #9 will not make it past 8 games in my opinion.

Lost to Mitch Trubisky and Cooper Rush. Ouch
