Colonel Fan, thanks for prediction that Highlands will school 81 points. I dont think they've scored 81 points the entire year. I cant recall the last time I saw a team with a total of 10 points for the entire half. Highlands v. Dixie (last night).

DMZ76 I see your point and understand your statement. Can you tell me this, are the Freshman that are getting more time at the JV level having an impact? Seems like everyone is waiting for this group to become "all that" when it come to all the sports. Is it fair to any of the kids in this situation? By the way Cov. Cath. by 20 pts......

Impact?? They are taking development minutes from kids that need it. Let 'em be kings on the frosh scene then bring 'em up at the end. Grubbs is good potential with some size...Kowolonek shows good signs of being a scorer. The rest are not even "projects" at a JV level

HHS definately look football players and play basketball like football players.

I was there and both teams were equally as physical. The Votels were throwing their share of elbows to go along with the Birds. If you cant take the heat stay out the kitchen is all i am going to say.

 

The Birds will have to do a similar job tonight, play extremely physical and give no open looks to the CCH guards. They need to play Wise tonight or they will get killed on the boards.

sometimes kids are forced to play physical.. you can only take so many elbows yourself before you start throwing them back.

 

Personally I am not attending the game. I can stand to miss a 44-28 Bird Loss. I think the 7th grade team will score more points tonight against Blessed Sacrament.

I 'll go with the temperature in the gym.

 

Highlands won last year at CCH but he was referring to 2 yrs ago at Highlands when it was a verrrrrry ugly game in the 30's I think.

 

Glad I don't have to hear them say Lets play football....if the temperature reaches 95 degrees.... that chant may eek out a victory because I know it will be rolling all night long. Enjoy it while you can Colonels....
