This is a big game for O QB Kasey Boone.  He didn't play really well against Frederick Douglas to end last season and I'm sure he's worked hard in the offseason to improve (watch film and etc).  He needs to make good decisions.  Can't give X more opportunities than they will already get.  

I think @Brown said it well earlier in focusing on some misdirection and fakes.  The key to me is getting the O skill guys in space.  Can O game plan to maximize that?  To think your just going to line up and run up the middle on X is not the plan, so counters, roll right with design to pass back left, getting some 3 WRs on 2 DB scenarios is what can be effective for O I think.  Have always liked Kenyatta Carbon.  I think decoying him early and coming back to him in the second or third series is likely the ticket.

Also looking forward to seeing the X offense.  Lot to replace and how will the QB hold up against a very good defense.  Worth the price of admission right there.

Great points and let me say with regard to Boone and Freddie D, O lost tackle Miller early in that game and the protection is no where near what it could have been shifting lineman.  O doesn’t have that depth.

You have always noted Carbon early in his career - good eye.  He has been very good on both sides of the ball.

New season, new mountain. Hopefully keep climbing but the ice at the peaks is tough climbing in 6A.
