? Nightcap final from Rupp Arena in Lexington.

Dragons grind, and find ways to win out in the fourth quarter.

CovCath and Warren Central will play in the Semifinals again, as they did in 2004.  WC won that one...and the whole enchilada.

Dewalt and Maresca aren't walking through that door!!

*WC may well win, I just wanted to use that line*

Well the heart palpitations have stopped. There’s no quit in this Central team. They need to stop making a habit of falling behind, but they’ve now overcome deficits of 15, 13, and 11 in this postseason.

Murray wasn’t flawless but that game would have been almost exactly how they’d have drawn it up. They jumped out to a lead and dictated the pace and tempo for almost the entire game. That allowed them to run 10 out to the corner and run iso all night long. That made Central extend their defense more than they’d have liked. But Central finally got THE run, reeling off 14 straight to take a lead they’d never relinquish. Though they played with fire missing free throws.

Whitney got more rest than they’d have liked thanks to foul trouble, but we’ll look at it as a positive from that perspective. End of the day, Central has exceeded expectations, but I’m sure they’re greedy now.

? Congrats to the Tigers of Murray on a great season. Living the small school dream, knocking out the biggest school in their Region, BGP #17 McCracken Co. Beat a "Golden Triangle" school, giant Henry Clay, in the first round of the dance. "All 'A' Classic" Regional champs ... Go ahead and roar Tigers, you've earned it!

Warren Central won but I left extremely impressed with Murray’s Grant Whitaker. Excellent performance. Just a junior. Appears to at least be getting some looks from places like Murray State, Belmont, and Kennesaw State.

Most definitely a very impressive player.

Call me crazy, but I'm still picking Warren Central to win it all.

I can't end this post without saying how imprssed I was with Murray's Whitaker. What a team leader, and a sensationl winner of a player!

Go Dragons!

Great year for Murray, KY.

And the university is still rollin'....
