Final per the scoreboard. 

Camels were clicking on all cylinders tonight. 

Rough night for our guys who failed to hit a 3-pointer, while the Camels hit 9 of them.

Campbell pressure limited our ability to get high percentage shots, contributing to the end result.

Campbell County had four double-figure scorers - Jake Gross - 21 with five 3s,  Garrett Siry 16 with a pair of 3s, Eric Davie 11, ad Aydan Hamilton 10.

David Govan was the lne Brossart double-figure scorer with 12.

Gross, Davie and Hamilton were named to the All-Tournament Team,  as well as David Govan and Mason Sepate from Brossart.   

Actually Campbell County hit 10 threes.

Gross - 5, Siry and Hill 2 Each, and Lavonte Parker - 1

Camels just may be the second-best team in the Tenth right now.

That's kind of what I was thinking.  Are they the team that has the best shot against GRC?

They've been the forgotten team a few times over the years when people expected GRC or Mason or Montgomery to win the region, only to see Campbell County swoop in take the trophy. I think the gap is too wide this time around but the Camels definitely appear to be the second best club.

I haven't seen GRC play but I do like the Camels inside/out game.  I think a team with two bigs might give them trouble but if they are hitting shots they will have a chance.

Camels are due, losing the last three games to GRC Prep. Difference will be Holmes will be packed with a ton of Purple fans and over a hundred students at least.  Gonna be a home game atmosphere for the Camels.

Maybe a dumb question (no intent to derail thread) but why is the 10th being hosted by Holmes? What happened to The Fieldhouse? Nothing beats that atmosphere. 

 

Back to the thread. I expected either a close game or a blowout by the Camels. Camels flexed against my Mustangs! Congrats on the district championship. Good luck all teams in March Madness!

Hosting rotates by district. This year is the 37th District’s (Campbell, Brossart, Scott, Calvary) year to host and they chose to play it at Holmes. It likely will be back at the Fieldhouse the next two years when they 38th and 39th Districts host.
