Very scary times.  I have been reading quite a bit about this, and won’t pretend to be an expert, but I still cannot believe that Russia is so brazen and is getting away with this.  Prayers to the peo

How long you think they'll be there?

My answer today, just today, is as long as it takes.

Russia said today, that if UK and US approve long range missiles (that Ukraine can use to strike deep into Russia), they will consider themselves at war with the UK, US and NATO.

This is an elevation that no one needs or wants.

US is currently weighting the decision on the missile request with the UK but nothing has been announced yet.

Such a disaster.

Looks like US and UK have held off approval to allow Ukraine to use (Storm Shadow) long range missiles on Russia.

According to news reports 3000 North Korean troops have been sent to Russia.  They are currently being trained on drones and other equipment.  It is being reported that North Korea could send as many as 10,000 troops to Russia, presumably to assist Russia fighting against Ukraine.

What an embarrassment for Russia.

I don't disagree but either way this is bad for the world.

I read some speculation that the Koreans are possibly NK Special Forces. They are being called on due to the decimation of experienced front line Russian troops.

Ukraine used American ATACMS missiles (probably with the help of American soldiers) to strike into Russia.  In response, Russia has updated its nuclear doctrine to lower the bar on a nuclear strike on Ukraine.

Also, two underwater telecommunications cables were cut in two separate incidents.  One cable was cut that connects Lithuania and Sweden, and a day later another was cut between Finland and Germany.  Sabotage appears likely.

US has now approved giving land mines to Ukraine, just another small escalation when things should be going the other way.

Makes sense and I don't think you can rule out Russia nuking Kyiv.
