Mayfield/Western Kentucky Tornadoes 12-10-21

Damage surveys will have to confirm, but the tornado that hit Mayfield could have been on the ground for over 200 miles. That is insane, and unheard of in December.

That's easily EF3 damage, maybe even EF4.

I don’t know the rating system and don’t know much about tornadoes but that’s about as bad as I’ve seen. My son said it looked like a bomb blew up. He’s right.

EF5 is the strongest, and extremely rare. In those cases, no structures will remain standing at all, they'd all be down to concrete foundations.

Agreed. This thing was on the ground for over 4 hours and over 200 miles, it very well may have hit F5 levels at different points.

I agree. Some of the radar images late last night were just incredible.
