I know that Paul Rose certainly had a hand in developing future Ram talent in all sports by coaching youth sports in football and baseball for years at Raceland, Paul had coached many of the ones I listed when they were in JFL / Little League football. Quite a few more were coached and are still being coached by Ken Lacks in youth sports. guys like these deserve recognition and credit as well for continying to ad dthe the Ram Tradition and "Band of Brothers" that is known as Raceland Football.:thumb:

What decade is this team from? I don't see any players from the last ten years. :confused: What about Bernard Jackson, Dicky Lyons, Joe Tronzo, Mike Schellenberger, Will Wolford, Miguel Montano?

There was a very good nose guard by the name of, I think, Herman Vaughn, who played in the mid to late 60s. I am not qualified to say whether he deserves to be on the all-time Flaget team but he was tough. Flaget would beat you and then you'd see the players in a non-football setting and say "How in the world did those guys beat us?" One word answer: toughness.

Flaget was an all boy Xaverian Brother school in Louisville's west end. The student body came from primarily blue collar homes. It offered an unparalleled education, excellent atheltics, and strong discipline. Many grads will recount tales of physical duress inflicted on rambunctious teenage boys by faculty members during their tenure at the school. Of course, schools can no longer engage in that type of discipline for fear of legal reprecussions.
