Chargers 41 Bengals 22

Featured Replies

Final a bad day all around for the Bengals today. Up next the 49ers next Sunday at PBS.

And IMO the 49ers are better than the Chargers. Bengals need those offensive linemen back against the 49ers front 4 or things will be very tough for Joe again.

You win some and you lose some.

On to San Fran.

Who Dey!

No Bosa or Linville for Chargers either and they were last in NFL against run coming in, just a pathetic performance by O line

Herbert is pretty impressive.

Mixon held to 2.8 yds a carry vs the worst run defense in NFL,  just pathetic

That is why I said bad day calling plays for Taylor. LA loaded up the line on 1st down to stop the run. Taylor kept running the ball on first down. Then LA was blitzing a lot in passing downs and Taylor did nothing to counter that. It was like he was paying no attention to what LA was doing on defense.

The line wasn’t great, but I also don’t think it was as bad as you are making it seem. I think they held up overall well until the end, when the Chargers were able to pin their ears back knowing we had to pass.

The three biggest plays of the game IMO was the strip sack at the beginning, which was on the Oline. Chase was wide open deep on that play. The second biggest play was the one where Burrow did get to throw it to Chase and he dropped it and literally handed it to the Chargers. Then the third biggest play was Mixon literally fumbling on his own and giving it to the Chargers. Those three plays were the biggest plays of the game, and literally changed how the game was being played.

Totally agree.  However, in the NFL, any one of those plays can be the difference maker in a close win or loss.  In this case, the sum of the three resulted in a Chargers 9 point victory.

For a change VOR we will agree, I and the guy I was watching the game with kept hollering at Taylor to go play action on first down and take a shot.  He’s had a few games this year where he’s admitted he didn’t do a very good job play calling, I think he just added to it today

Been watching my Bengals since the franchise started, I truly believe this team can 1 week be the most exciting team I’ve seen looking like they could win the Super Bowl then the next week they look like they don’t know what they’re doing, players and coaches both, wow!!

The sign of a young team and coach.  Highly inconsistent... to the extreme.

The problem with the Bengals and play action is they simply aren’t good at it. I will try to find the tweet I saw yesterday with the stat. But it showed the amount of pressure and hits Burrow takes on play action passes is one of the worst in the NFL, and he faces more pressure on his play action passes than anything else. Which makes sense cause it does seem like anytime the Bengals try to do play action it gets blown up quick with a guy right in Burrows face. So they are either not blocking it right on play action passes, or they simply aren’t fooling many people when they do it.

At 7-5 and currently in the 6th spot in the AFC playoff picture, the Bengals are in a critical point of their season.  I have no idea which direction the Bengals will go from here on.  Do they get back to their winning ways and challenge the Ravens for the AFC North crown or do they settle into a lengthy losing streak and start thinking about the draft and a lost opportunity this year?
