Both should try until the clock can be ran out by the winning team. At that point, take a knee and get it over...don't risk an injury for either team. They didn't need to make any case, it had already been made in a dominant fashion.

At this level and above, my take is their offense is on the field to score points, not to make the opposing team feel better. I have no problem with what they did. If the team I'm a fan of gets blown out and the opposing team continues to try to score, it won't bother me. It's football to me. I realize it sucks to be on the losing end of that, but what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Just my two cents worth.

Agree. For me this mentality starts in high school.

When you get to that point of a game backups usually get some playing time. You tell those guys that bust their butts all season to back off? They are trying to win MORE playing time.

Michigan scored 42 points.  The Michigan HS football player who gave his life protecting classmates in the recent shooting was jersey number was 42.

Michigan players wore a number 42 on there jersey for the game.

I don't think it was classless at all!

It's Harbaugh.  Yes, it's his fault.  No reason or need for style points there.  Sure you continue to compete UNTIL you can take a knee and run out the clock.  Of course, Ole Khaki Pants might be too stupid to realize that.  It will come back to bite him.
