Are Aces or Coyotes a thing in Carter Co? Are the new colors a combination from the current schools? I'd be going with Aces for the name, Coyotes seems like they're trying to copy Bud Kilmer and West Canaan High.

    I think they would be in 5A most likely, WC being 2A and East being in 3A. The problem is where to build a school? Off the interstate makes sense but Grayson people wouldn’t abide the new school being

    Consolidation is the most anti student thing that could be done in carter county, which is why they will probably do it.

There are two Aces in Kentucky (Owensboro Catholic and Cloveport) but no Coyotes. Coyotes are a thing everywhere in Kentucky, including Carter County. I think it is a great nickname - unique, not copy cat like some districts who recently fell in love with Mustangs and Titans.

    Yeah, my assumption was that they were going for unique, and they like the alliteration...Carter County Coyotes.

    Looks like now it is going to be delayed a few years unless the state comes through with some extra money. A letter sent out by the new superintendent this week.
