I agree, WC has had an easy schedule.. We all saw what happened when FD finally played a competitive team. This one will be interesting. If CC wins, then I see Owensboro in the state championship. If WC can hold off CC, then they're a favorite in the finals.

On the whole, Covington Catholic has played the tougher schedule. They've also lost to two of those good teams. But Woodford County has two of the three best wins among the two teams. I'm prepared to say Covington Catholic's schedule has been tougher but I'm not prepared to see wins over Franklin County and Glasgow dismissed as nothing because Covington Catholic beat Ryle and lost to Elder.

CovCath has no bearing on Owensboro, if CovCath wins, they play the winner of South Warren's game. If Owensboro wins they play winner of Southwestern/  Douglass

Unless I'm mistaken, if Owensboro, FD, South Warren and Cov Cath win this week, then Owensboro would host South Warren and Cov Cath would travel to FD.

Conversely, if all of the home teams win, then Woodford would host South Warren and FD would host Owensboro.  So, again, unless I'm mistaken, Cov Cath's result has an impact on Owensboro.  

I am making the assumption that RPI is "frozen" at the end of the regular season.  

Obviously, any upsets would throw all of this out the window.  Apologies if I'm mistaken.  

 

If Cov Cath plays like they have the last few weeks they will be a handful. OL play has been really good.

You’re not mistaken. I think the brackets on the KHSAA website confuse a lot of people.

Interesting comment because I believe that WC’s defensive line is their weak spot. We will know soon enough.
